Dr Anas Lila

Lecturer in Architecture

Anas teaches and investigates the emerging technologies in the built environment. His work is directed towards data-driven environmental design and the application of machine learning in built environment design. He is an expert in 3D printing and additive construction working on funded projects challenging the state of the art in the field of 3D printing construction. Anas has multiple publications and is a reviewer in the scientific committee of SIMAUD conference series. He participated and led different international workshops dealing with tangible aspects of the built environment from urban regeneration to urban computational modelling. Anas is currently focused on the application of neural networks in the early stages of urban environmental design and the implementation of 3D printing construction in MENA region. In practice, he has been working as an architect in the MENA region for numerous project scales. He participated and won multiple design competitions in the region and he had his own Egyptian based practice delivering design services in Egypt, UAE, KSA, Kuwait, and UK.”
