FAQs

Do I have to be an architect to join?

Nope! Computational Architecture is a collaborative interdisciplinary field, and we welcome students from Architecture, Product Design, Media Design, Digital Media, Civil and Structural Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Pervasive Media or Art and Design. For more info follow this link.

Do I have to know any code before joining?

Nope! Although it would be helpful if you dabbled before joining, we assume that our students are complete novices to programming. The course structure is designed to build up your coding skills and train your computational thinking to investigate real-world problems.

Will I be able to investigate my own research interests?

Definitely… there is no one way to use computational design, and our course is designed to open up your horizon to find the tools to follow your own research interests and open investigation. We encourage the curious mind.
