The play shelter is designed to be an attractive space that encourages outdoor play with a diversified range of nature sensory activities. It is designed in a way that it invites people of different ages to interact with nature by engaging in various outdoor play activities.

The design emerged out of a desire to create a spatial funneling system whereby residents of all ages in the community would feel drawn into the shelter to engage in interaction with the structure and its natural habitat of nature and fauna.

There is a distribution of outdoor play based on the circular ring size, the smaller circular rings are arranged within larger circles. Each circular ring representing an individual green play area or activity station.

The design evolves by firstly establishing the access points to the site guided by the location of the chosen project. Which then allows the central points to become the basis for the development of overlapping rectangles that by their transformations and intersection result in the generation of new points for smaller circular rings.

The intersecting points define new starting points for the next generation of circular rings and a selection is made based on closest proximity to pedestrian connection paths and ease of accessibility to pedestrian networks.
